Home Building Process

Home Building Process

Understanding the building process covers lots of territory. As a four generation builder, Westridge has refined the build process over many years and wants to educate potential buyers on that process. Videos of this Building Process are available to view to help customers see the value in our construction and to understand all the hard work that goes into each Westridge, Life and City Home. Builders always talk about quality. These Westridge videos actually show that quality right down to the studs!

Getting Started

The first steps of the build deal with narrowing down your home design. Typically, customers make customizations, then sketches and bids are generated to make sure everything needed is accounted for. Permits and surveys are obtained and construction begins with excavation and the building of the foundation.

Behind the Walls

See the quality in construction and installation that Westridge Builders puts into each home. Building the frame, installing windows, choosing the right insulation, and roughing in the electrical and plumbing are painstakingly installed during this phase of construction.

Taking Shape

During this part of the build you will see the home really come to life. Once the drywall is complete, cabinetry, millwork and other design features are installed. On the exterior, your home’s personality begins to show with roof accents, selections of natural stone, brick, or stucco, and siding color.

Character Builders

Westridge customers really take advantage of the on-staff decorator when making paint, tile, flooring, and countertop selections. These elements can really pull the ‘look’ of your new home together, adding warmth, vibrance and charm.

Finishing Touches

As you approach your move-in date, the final touch-ups and site clean up take place. Your expeditor will do a walk-through with you and cover punch-list items. After you have settled into your new home, you will have a 60-day and a 1-year check up with the Westridge Service department.
